Our Mission
BGI is dedicated to preparing the upcoming generation of young women to become leaders on a global scale. Our goal is to empower girls of color by offering transformative cultural experiences and promoting cross-cultural relationships. Through immersive travel and cultural exploration, we strive to cultivate confident and empathetic leaders who possess the skills to thrive as global citizens and make a positive impact on the world. Our mission is to promote collaboration, cultural understanding, and personal growth.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where girls across the diaspora have the resources and network to maximize their greatest potential. Girls are connected through education, sisterhood, and cultural exchange to position them for internships, the labor force, and a high quality of life. Global exposure has the potential to drastically impact urban school systems by developing students professionally and academically, increasing student engagement in international policy and development, and encouraging an appreciation for diversity and inclusion through cultural exploration. BGI advocates for girls’ and women’s rights by combating gender-based violence, disparities in the health sector, poor education systems, and other barriers to equity and freedom through global connections and activism.
